This is a unique horse riding school on the outskirts of picturesque and historic Strathalbyn on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
We have been facilitating equestrian pursuits for 14 years and have helped to create practical thinking riders across multiple disciplines.
It is a place for horse lovers to learn, develop and grow with our unique teaching methods in a fun and supportive environment.
The Riding Patch is a great place for learning to ride with confidence and enjoy the social atmosphere of the regular events we hold at our well equipped facility. Regular events include confidence programs, natural horsemanship clinics, encourage gymkhanas, novelty programs, obstacle training and horsemanship for the younger horse lovers.
We cater for all ages and abilities and all equestrian pursuits. There is a wealth of experience to pass on to eager students with our unique teaching style that will help you succeed with your personal equine passion whether it be dressage, show jumping or eventing.
We have a love of the Aussie heritage stockman traditions so you can also learn cattle handling, whip cracking, bareback riding and obstacles.

Children Riding Lesson
Children learn so much more when they have the opportunity to interact with horses.
Horse riding is a rare sport as it requires the rider to learn to work in partnership with another, rather large, living being.
Our riding lessons focus on building skills and confidence as both qualities work together to create a great rider.
We have many amazingly school horses available for lessons or you are welcome to bring your horse.
